About Selank
Selank (TP-7) has the amino acid sequence Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro. It is tuftsin (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg), an endogenous tetrapeptide, extended with a Pro-Gly-Pro sequence that increases its resistance to enzymatic breakdown. Selank is supplied as a lyophilised powder and must be reconstituted with bacteriostatic water before use in research applications.
Allow vial to reach room temperature. Clean the rubber stopper with an alcohol swab and allow to dry completely.
Draw required volume of BAC water into a sterile syringe. Inject slowly down the inside of the vial wall — not directly onto the powder.
Gently swirl until powder fully dissolves. Do not shake. Solution should be clear and colourless. Selank dissolves readily in BAC water.

How much bacteriostatic water does a 10mg Selank vial need?
2ml gives 5 mg/ml and 3ml gives roughly 3.33 mg/ml. Mass divided by volume is the whole calculation. The reconstitution calculator has the 10mg vial loaded, and the reconstitution guide explains why very dilute stocks lose more peptide to the vial wall than the arithmetic suggests.
Selank or Semax — are they interchangeable?
No. Selank is a synthetic analogue of the immune peptide tuftsin, studied mainly for anxiolytic and immune-modulatory endpoints. Semax is an ACTH(4–7) fragment extended with Pro-Gly-Pro, studied principally for BDNF and TrkB-related gene expression. Structurally unrelated peptides with separate literatures — treat them as distinct research articles.
