About Ipamorelin

Ipamorelin is a synthetic pentapeptide (Aib-His-D-2-Nal-D-Phe-Lys-NH2) and selective agonist at the growth hormone secretagogue receptor type 1a (GHS-R1a). It was developed by Novo Nordisk in the late 1990s and represents the third generation of GH secretagogues — characterised by its exceptional selectivity for GH release with minimal stimulation of other pituitary hormones.

Unlike first-generation secretagogues such as GHRP-2 and GHRP-6 which produce significant cortisol, prolactin and ACTH elevations, Ipamorelin produces clean, selective GH pulses that more closely mimic the natural pulsatile GH release pattern. This selectivity makes it particularly valuable for research investigating GH axis physiology without confounding effects on the stress hormone axis.

Research Background

Ipamorelin is one of the most widely studied GH secretagogues in research literature. This product is supplied for laboratory research purposes only.

Studies have characterised Ipamorelin's exceptional selectivity for GH release versus cortisol, prolactin and ACTH, comparing its hormonal profile to earlier generation secretagogues (GHRP-2, GHRP-6) and demonstrating cleaner GH pulse stimulation.

Reconstitution Guide

Ipamorelin is supplied as a lyophilised powder and must be reconstituted with bacteriostatic water before use in research applications.

Allow vial to reach room temperature. Clean the rubber stopper with an alcohol swab and allow to dry completely.

Draw required volume of BAC water into a sterile syringe. Inject slowly down the inside of the vial wall — not directly onto the powder.

Gently swirl until powder fully dissolves. Do not shake. Solution should be clear and colourless. Ipamorelin dissolves readily.
