Bacteriostatic Water (BAC Water) is sterile water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a bacteriostatic preservative. The benzyl alcohol inhibits bacterial growth, allowing the vial to be accessed multiple times safely over a 28-day period — making it the standard diluent for all injectable research peptides. Essential for reconstituting lyophilised peptide powders to the correct research concentration.
Bacteriostatic Water for Injection is sterile water preserved with 0.9% benzyl alcohol. The benzyl alcohol acts as a bacteriostatic agent — it does not sterilise the solution, but prevents bacterial growth that could occur after the vial septum is punctured for withdrawal. This allows repeated access over a 28-day period without microbial contamination.
BAC Water is the universally accepted diluent for reconstituting lyophilised research peptides. When a peptide powder is reconstituted with BAC Water, the resulting solution remains stable and bacteriostatically preserved for up to 28 days when stored correctly at 2–8°C — far longer than solutions made with plain sterile water.
Available in 3ml and 10ml vials. The 3ml vial is ideal for single compound use. The 10ml multi-dose vial is suited to researchers working with multiple compounds or larger volumes.

BAC Water is compatible with the vast majority of research peptides supplied by Pureline Biolabs. All peptides below have been confirmed compatible for reconstitution with BAC Water.
Compatible: Ipamorelin, MOTS-c, Kisspeptin-10. Standard reconstitution with BAC Water — stable 28 days at 2–8°C.
Compatible: Melanotan I, PT-141. Standard reconstitution with BAC Water. Protect from light during preparation.
Compatible: Selank, Semax. Both may also be reconstituted for intranasal research application — BAC Water is the recommended vehicle.

3ml vial — ideal for single compound reconstitution. 10ml vial — suited to multiple compounds or larger research volumes over 28 days.
Store at 15–30°C away from direct light. Refrigeration not required for unopened vials.
Refrigerate after first puncture. Use within 28 days. Discard after 28 days regardless of remaining volume.
Protect from prolonged direct light exposure. Standard storage conditions are sufficient.
Do not freeze BAC Water. Freezing may damage the rubber septum and compromise sterility.
BAC Water is used to reconstitute lyophilised peptide powders into research solutions. The volume of BAC Water added determines the final concentration of the peptide solution.
Clean both the BAC Water vial septum and the peptide vial septum with separate alcohol swabs. Allow both to air dry completely before proceeding.
Using a sterile syringe, draw the required volume of BAC Water. Use the Reconstitution Calculator to determine the correct amount for your target concentration.
Inject BAC Water slowly down the inside wall of the peptide vial — not directly onto the lyophilised powder. This prevents foaming and peptide degradation.
Gently swirl the vial until the powder fully dissolves. Never shake vigorously. Most peptides dissolve within 30–60 seconds. Solution should be clear.
Label the reconstituted vial with the date. Store at 2–8°C. Use within 28 days. The benzyl alcohol in BAC Water provides bacteriostatic protection throughout this period.
